This Friday don’t miss The May Six Fix at The Tote featuring a stellar line up of psych folk from some of the country’s most interesting and sublime performers, featuring: Nick Murphy & Band, Ben Salter (The Gin Club), Jimmy Hawk & The Endless Party and JJ Symon & The Monochromes. Whilst Nick & Band, fresh from their “What’s In Your Mind?” East Coast tour, will be playing tracks from the newly released “What’s In Your Mind?” to their familiar psychedelic projection show back drop, Ben Salter will be showcasing material from his eagerly awaited yet to be released solo album recorded with Gareth Lidiard (The Drones). Jimmy Hawk & The Endless Party will drench audience with psych folk hits from their recently released “Echo Park” while JJ Symon & The Monochromes will be smashin it with their “post-modern folk” from their great new album “Mayday”. Show starts at 8:30pm sharp and tickets are just $12 on the door.

RRR 102.7FM Live to Air – This Sunday

Nick will be hitting the RRR airwaves this Sunday 1 May between 2-4pm for a live to air on the JVG Radio Method. Tune in to hear a preview of what you can expect to hear next Friday at the Tote!

Gig Announcements

Nick will be doing a string of solo and duo shows around Melbourne over the next two months, starting with a gig at the Marquis of Lorne on Sunday 15 May. He’ll be doing his solo debut at the Drunken Poet on Sunday 5 June at 6:30pm. Get to the pub at 4pm to catch the fabulous Shackleton before Nick takes the stage. You can see Nick Murphy in duo form with Jeff Samin at the Standard Hotel on Wednesday 22 June. They’ll be playing 2 sets from 8:30pm and it’s all free.
