Thanks to everyone who came out and caught Nick performing at the Bruce Springsteen Nebraska tribute at The Gem last week.  Nick also recently played a gig at the Standard with Mikey Madden (who’s band Gruntbucket just released a new album).

In other exciting news, Nick has put together a new band!  Featuring Jeff Samin on guitar, bass & vocals, Dave Rose on drums & vocals, and Graeme Cameron (Machine Translations, Gentleman of Fortune) on keys, bass & vocals.  They will begin recording a new album together in June.

Every Thursday in June, starting June 7th, Nick will be playing at the Labour in Vain, Fitzroy.  Each week he’ll be joined by different special guests playing a mix of songs from his solo albums, rarities, new material and covers.  It’s free and the music starts at 9pm.

It’s been a while since we last sent an update, and so we wanted to send you a quick note to let you know what’s been going on with Nick and the band.

Nick’s been putting all his energy into building a home recording studio, with plans to record his next album there.  We’ll keep you updated on the progress.

In the meantime, there are a few chances to catch Nick performing around Melbourne.  Here’s the listings for the next two months:
